Drying of wood
Drying wood, a more important step than it seems
.jpg)
After sawing, wood still contains a lot of water.
Some of this water will gradually evaporate into the air causing dimensional variations in the wood.
The moisture content of the wood should be adapted to its future use in order to avoid future deformation, fungal and insect attacks, to facilitate secondary processing, etc.
This drying is done by a combination of natural drying (air-drying wood) and artificial drying (wood integrated in heated killners).
