First processing of wood
The first processing of the wood is done by sawing, rotary peeling or veneering the logs.

Logs are first sawn on different thicknesses, then boards are edged (width setting) and finally cut into different lengths by purging the cuttings of their major defects such as cracks, rotten knots, etc.
For the cuttings that deserve it, a quality sorting is undertaken before laying the edged wood on slats allowing the natural or artificial drying of the material.
